Nicole & Simon got married in a tropical beach wedding on the Andaman Sea, and chose Koh Photography to be their wedding photographer Phi Phi. A turquoise utopia of vivid natural beauty, Koh Phi Phi is a very picturesque island and the perfect setting for an exotic wedding and honeymoon.
Nicole & Simon both come from Perth, Australia, and it was only their second visit to Thailand. They fell in love with the location and each other so much the first time, they knew Thailand was the right place to get married. I was very happy to be asked to be their chosen wedding photographer in Thailand.
Nicole wore a ruched satin dress with three-quarter length veil, while the groom party were relaxed, Australian style, in open-necked shirts and Chinos. The three bridesmaids wore sea green chiffon dresses, the same colour as the tricolour sea.
Nicole was led down the aisle by her father in panama hat. As they walked along the decking to the bridal pagoda on the beach – here comes the bride! – this wedding photographer Phi Phi was given a chance to capture Nicole’s shy glance at Simon, her husband-to-be.
Joined by a huge wedding party of 50 guests, it was obvious Nicole & Simon’s family and friends loved to party, and everyone had a great sense of fun. There was laughter during the wedding vows, and much hilarity as the congregation threw rice over the newlywed couple.
Nicole couldn’t wait to get in the water after the ceremony, and needed no encouragement to get her dress wet for these beautiful shots, ankle-deep in the sea. She then changed into a cream & gold evening dress to dance away the evening. The party went on well into the night.
Some favorite shots are of Nicole & Simon against the typical Thai scenery of limestone karst and fishermen boats, completing a perfect memoir of their exotic wedding in Thailand.
